The Swiss system that lets you own an apartment in a shared building (propriété par étages).
Technical meaning
Each unit carries a share of the common parts. In a new development, selling the PPE units often conditions the financing of construction: the developer must reach a pre-sale threshold before the bank releases the construction loan.
