Case studies/Bissap Drink

How do you take a new drinks brand from idea to shelf?

Case study: Bissap Drink

About Bissap Drink

Bissap Drink is a natural drink made from organic hibiscus, inspired by a traditional West African recipe, made in Switzerland with a solidarity dimension (5 centimes per can donated to projects in Burkina Faso). A fine idea, a real story.

But an idea is not a brand. At the start, there was nothing: no positioning, no visual identity, no website, no awareness. And the drinks market is one of the toughest: saturated, dominated by giants, where a new brand has to exist online and above all on the shelf. Everything had to be built, from the brand promise to the first point of sale.

We had a recipe and a conviction: to make bissap known in Switzerland. But we were starting from a blank page, with no brand and no image. Contrast laid it all down: positioning, identity, website, campaigns. In one year, we went from an idea to a brand found in more than 50 points of sale. They didn't just build a website, they built the brand with us.

The challenges

Business challenges

Create a desirable brand, not just a product, in a saturated market. Generate demand, online as well as in stores. Establish the brand in points of sale, the real proof of existence in food & beverage.

Technical & creative challenges

A positioning and identity true to the story (authentic, natural, solidarity-driven). An e-commerce website that converts and tells the brand's story. Profitable multichannel acquisition (Meta + Google) to build initial awareness.

The setup

Three links to bring the brand to life and take it to market: positioning and identity, the online shop that tells a story as much as it sells, and the acquisition that builds awareness.

01

Positioning & brand identity

Everything starts with the brand. Positioning: authentic, natural, solidarity-driven hibiscus, a tradition revisited for today; then brand guidelines and a visual identity aligned with that intention. The foundation for everything else.

Website: showcase and shop

Web design, wireframes and development of an online shop that tells a story as much as it sells: the shop, the brand's story, the solidarity dimension, the points of sale. Designed to convert traffic into orders.
